That's the one thing that bothers me. Its like everyone in the industry is playing up his androgynous features. I didn't like the JPG closing number. Andrej isn't a girl and I wish people in the industry would stop exploiting his looks. Sooner or later, I hope Angrej will start to put his foot down on this. I mean he may be OK with dressing up like a girl now but eventually the 'oohs and the aahs' will stop... and then what?

Maybe I'm over-analyzing (which I tend to do) but I think Andrej is too good to be limited to wearing dresses/walking women's show just to freak people out and/or create buzz. If managed correctly, Andrej can be a true superstar!

^I didn't say he's always outfitted over the top for these shows. Obviously, there's exceptions. And its those exceptions (where Andrej's not so obvious as stated previously) that capture my attention the most.

anyway -- he's truly stunning. but i think putting him in drag is just too obvious. i think it would be much more interesting to dress him as macho as possible. then his truly feminine and stunning features would shine.

don't get me wrong -- in the closing JPG outfit, he literally looks like a supermodel. but a female one. lol. or just like the best drag-queen i've ever seen.

but he's not a woman. he's a man. and i think playing up his masculinity would make for my favourite shots.

the video for JPG is hilarious! lol. if they're gonna put him in heels, they gotta teach the boy to walk! i felt a bit embarassed for him, actually. perhaps he genuinely wants to be the first male model to successful do drag and model women's collections as well. and if that's the case, then more power to him. but if it isn't -- then putting him in drag just seems obvious and gimmicky and, if i'm honest, a bit exploitative.

hm .. i don't know how to say it without it coming across as offensive. which is absolutely NOT my intention. i think he's completely stunning! and when they play up the androgyny, that's quite compelling, because his beauty is so surreal and surprising. but there is a difference between "androgyny" and "dressing like the opposite sex". androgyny is where the lines are blurred. where it's like, "this guy is too beautiful to be a guy. but he is. this is crazy gorgeous awesomeness." lol. whereas putting him in heels and a gown is just, "oh. there's a drag queen on the JPG runway." it's so simple. it's not challenging or powerful or compelling. it's just drag, which we can see any weekend at any number of gay bars in our respective cities. lol.
