LOVE stella! She looks so put together and gorgeous no matter what anyone throws on her. Classic good looks that crosses time, space and, yes, gender!

anyone know who shot that first pic of stella in post #423...?
i suspect it's the work of peter lindbergh....

i love the movement there SO much!...
...

tasha is also one of my all time faves...
:crush:...

thanks for the pics adoref.

this is the other ad that goes with it..
i think it was posted earlier in the thread...

thanks adore...i knew it HAD to be yohji...
the all-time KING of androgyny.......
...

david sims is a bit of a surprise but it also makes perfect sense...
:p

a few more daria..same source..

the 3rd one is my favourite..how beautiful..

I am not a huge daria fan, but i have to admit she does the andro/tomboy thing really well...hot B)

i have to say that my favourite type of androgyny is not just a girl in masculine clothing or a guy with eyeliner...

but really a true mix of masc/fem...:p
like a really tight skirt with a tailored shirt and ankle boots...
that's really hot...

yeah not just a girl in a suit...although that's hot to me! But nice blends/hybrids of masculine and feminine is sexy...

i think that is what i have always loved about isabella rossellini....
some of her lancome ads...
all images found on ebay

I love Yasmin Le Bon's jawline...soft but strong...esp the vintage Yasmin

I actually prefer long hair with the andro look...softens it up a bit.

 that red and blue are so 80's!

awww...look how lovely yasmin is......

she has got such a special and unique look....

you know...electricladyland...
i think i agree with you about longer hair...
though i really like a good short haircut and a woman who can pull it off can be really stunning...

:p

depends on the features and how strong they are...imo...
ie- isabella's are quite soft and round so the short crop gives her more edge...
while yasmin's features are smaller and sharper so the soft hair is good on her...

it's all about the balance...
^_^...

The 80's British Model Jenny Howarth was very androgyness...
I also think Agyness looks so much like her now!

Softie...Leslie Winer was def a successful model in the 80's...
I have some pics I'll scan of her...thank goodness my Mom saved so many of her 80's
mags so I now I'm lucky enough to have them:heart:

i'm happy to see daria is mentioned again in this thread. :)
i'd say she's a natural gender daring andro/tomboy and does the female thing very well! B)
