Keep going back and fourth with Angel, didn't initially see it when she opened Proenza but this season she looked fitting on the runway like everyone in the beginning of her thread mentioned she has a great balance and I'm digging it.

Two Takes With Angel Rutledge

Meet Angel. She’s 20, American, and naturally blonde (but brown for the time being). She was also scouted in a Chipotle, which is one of those situations that everyone prays for in their lives but only happens to a select few. Not that anyone should ever make sweeping comparisons of one person’s face to another (out of respect for individuality), but there’s something about Angel that recalls the Alana Zimmers and Hanne Gabys of the mid-aughts—and it doesn’t hurt that Angel was a Proenza Schouler exclusive on her first season out.

Now, the photos you see above are not the first time we photographed Angel. She actually came in the week before wearing a flannel vest and without a stitch of makeup, just to say hi and take a few pictures. And then her agency, The Lions, emailed—"What was she wearing? Too grungy?" Now, there's no such thing as too much grunge, but the email sparked some discussion. How would we make up up Angel if given a little more time? The Lions was game to go down that road, so the next week, back she came, in a plain white tank and wet hair.

That face, plus those gray-green eyes (not to mention—again—the wet hair) begs for a lighter, gentler formula. Nothing cakey and matte. Here, we settled on the Alima Pure Velvet Lipstick in Beatrice, which is a nice Merlot color that smells like vanilla. Of course, we could only get her to keep it on for so long before some haphazard Bioderma removal was in order. But that's fine—Beatrice left a nice little stain on Angel's lips as she left the office. Something to remember us by. :*
