With legs for miles and an out-of-control runway strut (so famous, in fact, that Jason hand-picked her to open his Fall 2010 show), there’s not much Anja Rubik lacks. A little R&R wouldn’t hurt, though. “I have serious problems when it comes to resting,” she sighs. So two weeks ago, the model jetted off to Tulum, Mexico for a much-needed few days off. “It’s my favorite place to go when I desperately need a vacation,” explains the Polish stunner. There, she unwound at the Coqui Coqui Spa, a holistic compound owned and operated by her landscape architect-slash-perfumer pal Nicolas Malleville. ”My boyfriend [blogger's note: that would be fellow model Sasha Knezevic--talk about a beautiful couple] and I basically spent the whole time lying on the beach and doing nothing!” she laughed. The pair also squeezed in some sightseeing, touring the city in a rented Jeep and tapping into their outdoorsy side by exploring local caves. Let’s hope Anja got the downtime she deserved–she’s now back at work in her new post as Fashion & Art Director of 25 Magazine, sharing her editorial responsibilities with her beau (Knezivic’s the glossy’s Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director). Thanks to the efforts of her dozens of industry pals, we’re sure 25’s upcoming Fall/Winter issue will look as great as its catwalking creators.

anja was forever associated in my memory with next (and vice versa). is this her first switch? and has next just imploded now since anna j also moved from them to ford recently? and agencies are ultimately about models, and with this inflow of big names, ford has suddenly gained enormous respectability from me this month
