Anja Rubik

Anna Wintour is the most conservative editor-in-chief I know.
the whole country is beset by moral conservatism and simply cannot stomach fashion

they officially are? congrats to the couple then. family and career, anja can have both

I demand some offspring! I'm very happy for them and I hope it will last so good luck. :flower:

I also can't wait for her announced i-D cover? Right?

thanks for getting the translation, rado. we are all glad anja came through at the end, but to suffer a lackluster career for so many years, even anja admitted she was wavering at some point. still, she must be unusually resilient.

as for us vogue, i didn't know she worked with meisel for a 30-page ed! well, it cannot be meisel, so wintour's rejection must be because of anja. that disgusting woman...

ok, so my reaction may be a little late. I've read how Anna killed a supposedly 30-page editorial of Anja for US Vogue and I waited for the initial WTF moment to subside so I can think clearly and methodically. I think, however, that Anna W meant nothing personal. After seeing September issue, it became apparent how she likes some models more than others and I see this as the main reason why she rejected printing the ed, besides, isn't 30 pages a bit long for US Vogue's standards? Anyway, another reason could be that Anna thought it was too edgy for her magazine. We all know how bland and repetitive the editorials there are so maybe it just didn't make the cut because the styling was, as Anja pointed out, too 'extravagant'. Nevertheless, we all know how Anja works the camera and how her editorials and covers turn out so it could well be wintour's loss.

anyway, i'm excited Anja and Sasha got engaged. they seem like a really sweet couple even though i don't like Sasha all that much.

zen, i think you are being too kind with wintour - i see her as a mean, narrow being intolerant of anything exceeding her boring vision for what might otherwise be an important magazine.

only the cheapness - in terms of price - kept me as a subscriber of her publications

wow, another season for zanotti. they must really love her. i actually like this one better than last season
