Anja Rubik

WOW!!! She's doing so incredible shows this season. First Burberry, then Ferragamo and now Ackermann. That's so great. Can't wait for more Anja in Paris FW.

  why would an american celebrity (famous for what exactly except popping up every once in a while in the news?) be allowed to stage a show at paris? shouldn't he need governmental approval before he could do that?and also submit himself before a lot of french red tapes and a long and hostile bureaucratic process -- at the end of which he would just be denied? this is a horrible act of negligence on the part of french government

^^^money can everything :D
I don't really get why she's walking for him

she's a top model, we know that there was a huge hype around that show. I cant imagine his show (bad or not) and cast of no-name models. Why not. Plus she's on good terms with him ^_^ they know each other

because she is a good model and he had clothes that needed to be modeled so he employed her service.Enough with the prejudice,if Anja didn't have a problem walking for him I don't know why any one else should.

there is nothing wrong with anja walking the show. but the problem is why was this show allowed to be staged in the first place? doesn't the french government have the moral and political obligation to defend the cultural and aesthetic purity of parisian fashion? it is such a monumental failure of the political class of the french republic that i wonder why isn't there a libyan liberation of france just right now :ninja: the french capital must be free of angloamerican-celebrity-cum-wannabe-designers!

^^could you please explain why all this government involvement talk? I don´t get what it has to do with a fashion show... or is it just pure snobbism on your part?

Obviously the French Government(or whoever is in charge of approving designers to show at PFW) is far more open minded than you and is no longer living in the dark ages where class-ism and elitism trumped talent.I thought the collection was descent(although for a spring/summer collection it had too much fur and leather) and the clothes fit in well with Paris's avant garde aesthetic.
BESIDES this is ANJA"S THREAD and is hardly the place for your 'concern'.Create a new thread and vent away,I'm sure you will find like minded people to back you.
I say this will all due respect.
