The Polish top model is back on the runways after her wedding

On website models.com Anja Rubik comes third in the top 50 of the more coveted models du jour and ranks 23rd as regards her fees. The 28-year-old Polish model has no intention of giving way to the increasingly popular new faces.

Anja Rubik, the face of numerous ad campaigns including Lacoste and Fendi, but also Lanvin and Chloé, keeps firmly on her head the crown of catwalk queen. For SS 2012, in fact, she has walked the runway for Burberry Prorsum, Issa London, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Fendi, Chanel. And in Paris she has opened shows for Balmain, Kanye West and Elie Saab.

Anja, who got married in Mallorca last July with former basketball player and now model Sasha Knezevic, donning a wedding gown by Emilio Pucci designed by her friend Peter Dundas, in 2011 has also posed for the Pirelli calendar, shot by Karl Lagerfeld.

Aside from plans about a future with husband Sasha Knezevic (did you know that Anja loves baking?), the top model speaks about her position in the fashion industry and tried to predict how long she'll still be able to book jobs.

To the question, "Maybe you're considering changing careers or you're wondering how long you'll look young", Anja replies: "I'm not worried, although I noticed that I need more rest, more sleep, in order to look good." Shocking answer for a 28 year old, although maybe not so much for a 28 year old model.

"I feel pretty comfortable in the position which I've reached. I know that my career can stop, but not in a month nor a year.", says Rubik. "In the next three years, I don't have to worry about that, if I'll get work, because I definitely will. Is 28 years little? When I take part in shows often, I feel like a grandmother, because I'm walking the catwalk with 15 year olds", she adds. Grandmother could be a bit of an exaggeration, but you could definitely call her a veteran.

As she thinks she is, for a grandmother, she's aging marvelously!
