yeah, it's a parody of polish life. there's references to the way most polish people live, it is almost a criticism. and some really funny lyrics!

The video is supposed to be bad to illustrate the lyrics and believe me, the form matches the content perfectly well. I find it quite funny to see Anja playing the role a "slab block queen" but I understand that for people who don't live in Poland it may all look rather strange. Anyway, it's a collaboration with one of the most famous Polish author right now, Dorota Maslowska.

Anja Rubik's Musical Debut

ANJA RUBIK has made her musical debut, but it's not what you might expect.

The model - who has worked with such salubrious brands as Valentino, Chanel, Lanvin, Gucci and Givenchy - has collaborated with writer and producer Mister D to produce a track in Polish called Chleb. The accompanying music video is an abstract animation, in which the model flies in slow motion against a CGI backdrop, shakes a packet of grains over herself, dances with animal-masked ballet dancers and rides a giant Dachshund with her muscly love interest.

When exactly it was created and where the inspiration came from is unclear, although it is safe to say a wide range of references were used as stimulus.
