^Thanks! And yep, I don't think I've ever actually said her name as An-"ja"...whenever I see "ja" I think of the German pronounciation ("ya")!

Isn't her name pronounced "Arhn-yaa" in English?

I'm Polish and my sister's name is Anja and its pronounced "Anya".

lol its weird spelling I know but 'j' is Polish is pronounced like 'y'.

even more confusing in Russian or Ukrainian the 'j' is pronounced as 'z'. Am I right? Because (the model) Snejana Onopka is actually prounounced "Senzana".

I checked L'uomo Vogue today and remembered the name for Anja's new campaign.

She is featured in the ALLEGRI Fall 2006 ads with some male model and the ads are in L'uomo Vogue (which I don't have).

Not always. I am Russian, and my cousins name is Katja, we don't pronounce it "Katza" but "Katya", like you would in German, and Polish, I am sure?

To be honest with you, I think I pronounce so many models' names wrong, whenever I say them in my head.

However, I have recently perfected saying "Doutzen", "Dewi", and "Rianne Ten Haken" !!!

But I think I've still got a lot of practising to do, before I've mastered saying "Snejana" !!!
