Anja Rubik

What's funny is that if these had come out as posters/brochures/etc. they probably would become collector's items

^ The merge is only really done so that they can show all of the looks featured in the separate marketing all in one shot on their tri-company site, which the public doesn't look at, anyhow. :flower: So the shots were up, but in their original forms, only.

polosia is right. julia has three arms indeed. they really messed up on the graphics on this one. at least they had the good sense not to aggressively post this picture everywhere

Yes, we are aware...but if they had gone public, what a wondrous WWD story that would've been. B) And either way, it's still unprofessional of such a global apparel company to assume insignificance for something like this. In such a cutthroat business very creation reflects a company's image holistically, so this, I'm afraid, does call for at least minor concern...

And if they were really hoping to feature all the looks, I guess Vlada's outfit just wasn't aesthetically appealing enough

Ugh that Gap ad... What I find most hilarious/horrible is the fact that Julia has three arms.
On a better note...

I've looked at Gap ad... and that's ridiculous to see how bad the montage is. I didn't know that Julia was an alien with three arms. Indeed, Anja arm should be behind Du. Maybe Anja is doing a Walk Like An Egyptian Dance!

The Gap thing is so embarrassing, it looks like it's done by a 14 year old kid playing on photoshop one day. I'm shocked such a big company with large expenditure on marketing would be so amateur, god help them.

i'm not sure if i like the Numéro ed  but Anja looks rocker chic in it so i guess i'm in the i like it territory.....

that Gap pic is just awful :yuk: i can't believe they were too sloppy to leave it at that :ninja: poor Julia :(

thanks for the pics everyone :flower:

^ I like the ed. Her hair colour really looks amazing on her now! I didn't think I could like her even more, but I guess I was wrong.

I think you're missing my point, that being that the shot is not meant for public viewing and is not an ad. It's only on Gap Inc.'s site, not Gap.com, and it would have never gone public. But, anyhow, we're getting way off topic anyway, so I won't go on about it.

anja looks so cheerful and cute in that pucci show. matt williamson must really like anja  but why certain designers want girls to laugh maniacally (e.g. sonia rykiel) and some prohibit the girls to smile at all?

^ Personally, I think it depends on the look the designer is going for, and the brand as well. For example, I don't think I've ever seen a girl laugh or smile on the Prada runway, but on VS? That's all they do.

^ ya, that is what i would assume, although i am still quite offended at sonia rykiel or vs. asking the girls to laugh is more unpleasant than enjoining them against smiling. modelling must be such an arduous job that forcing the girls to put up a happy face when they are already stressed out during endless fashion weeks borders on inhumanity. i am glad anja did a lot of pucci and never did rykiel.

^ I don't know. I doubt that putting on a falsetto laugh is that big of a worry for them, no matter the stress. They're used to it. It's a part of the job.
