Anja Rubik

Super gorgeous girl for super gorgeous brand :woot: Anja is perfect for Lanvin  Pity that we should wait for the result of a very long time. Want to see right now!

What I find funny is that now there comes a wave of Anja hate.

A model that has worked like forever and always hard, who only started to have major covers (Vogue Paris, V, Vogue Germany okay she has done Numéro before but that's it) and campaigns on par with her long Chloé run (Fendi, Gucci) is now booking two major campaigns this season and gets bashed on just because they had another model in mind for that prestigious brand. Suddenly she becomes another Toni Garrn.

But who cares as long as we, the ones who appreciate Anja's work, can celebrate her exposure.

↑ I agree with that. I mean we are all entitled to our opinions but that doesn't mean you have to stick it into other people's faces. I hate Freja as a model too but as respect for her fans and since she has a stellar career, I keep the comments to a minimum.

Then again,
who cares as long as we, the ones who appreciate Anja's work, can celebrate her exposure.
.

Great news .. Anja for Fendi & Lanvin,,, gorgeous girl

#431 oh marcel, i live in a bubble world that is this thread :) and among like-minded people who share my love of anja, so i don't care what others think, and if people tell me where those haters congregate, i will take note and avoid them like one will a leper colony :)

but to add one thing
gets bashed on just because they had another model in mind for that prestigious brand.
seriously though, when ali s got the chloe campaign years ago, i also got furious, but now that she never became the chloe girl the way anja is (and never became the model anja is), i feel i could come out with that bitter feeling from seasons ago

Anja will be great for Lanvin. She has already proved what she can do and she always delivers.

I'm very pleased that she gets Lanvin...

She belongs to that kind of models that have been working so much and most importantly improved, season after season, to reach this incredibly wide range of skills and a way to pose that became a trademark...
Anja plays in that league

Totally agree and a lovely post.:D
I'm looking forward to her Lanvin campaign and also Fendi after last seasons effort.......hope Lagerfeld makes as good a job with this seasons.

i love her as a model, i think that she has an amazing face and a perfect runway body

but, unfortunately, i can't stand her in interviews. i mean, her attitude is irritating for me. she considers herself as a modest person, but the way she speaks says something else. i'm not sure if you know what i mean.

i get what you mean but i do not agree at all..
personally i love her as a model and a woman, and in my opinion she's indeed truly modest... when she speaks i can't feel any presumption, just brains and poise.
EDIT : i love the jones campaign, anja delivers an incredible, natural sensuality

my best friend and I love her
walk...everytime we watch it we make up
a new scenario in our head...we said its very business woman chic
and that she walks with power...and we love when she steps her leg out everytime

im so happy she has 2 blue chip campaigns right now she is one of my favs and Im glad its some1 that is capable of taking a gorgeous shot no matter who is the photographer..i didnt know Steven liked her...wasnt the last time she worked with him was for Belstaff S/S 08 and Dsquared2 S/S 08 campaign?

not speaking the beautiful language myself, i probably cannot catch all the subtleties of wording of the kuba interview. but from mike's translation of it as well as those interviews conducted in english or from the tones of her speeches, i think anja comes across as genuine and modest: she readily answers substantive questions about the fashion world or herself and is sincere and straightforward in those answers and shows a good grasp of her own position in the fashion world

i'm polish and i can't agree with you, Weronika (fajnie tak mówić po angielsku do Polaka ^^) as for me Anja's modest and friendly, she's not acting like a big star or something, i don't have that feeling, it depends on person i think :flower:
