Anja Rubik

My question was rather whether she's on the cover of the book, I did notice it was her :P

i am not saying it isn't fair that anja isn't getting more pages than other girls in this ed. i am saying vogue us is disgusting because it never gave anja a full-length ed.
^she had an accessories ed by Meier, but I guess we can´t really count that cause she was barely visible...

Wasn't she in an ed in the September 2011 issue in an ed photographed by Alex Prager? IIRC the ed had a retro vibe.

it's got four pages and we didn't even see her face in half of them.

Hi Anja fans, I am looking for an ed Anja did for Numero #68 November 2005, named 'Anja', photographed by Greg Kadel. It has 12 studio shots. I saw 2 pages of them somewhere the other day, but had not saved them before I realized I quite like them. Would anyone who has those in hand kindly post them here or point me to a link please? Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks for the Diva cover, I think we only had it in smaller size. Is Woman cover a reprint? does it have an ed?

The Diva cover and editorial with Anja and Sasha are phenomenal, some of the best photos of Anja I ever saw! The Woman cover is not a reprint, it is a photo from the TIME magazine shoot, which was not used in Time I think...there were many gorgeous out-takes posted here months ago and I am glad one of the shots got printed on a cover!

Shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti told Anja that he will be angry if she is not wearing his shoes at her wedding;)

It seems Anja and Sasha have an apartment in Wien(Austria), the interviewer took the interview there while they were stopping by:

? You just got married just like other supermodels such as Kate Moss, Natasha Poly and Lilly Aldridge. It seems that marriage is in vogue again.

Sasha: yes, this is the newest fashion in the Buziness...no, I am just kidding

Anja: I think it is just a coinsidence...It must be a good year to do such a thing according the astrological signs. Natasha and her husband had planned this for a long time, but we were more sopontenious.

?At the Kate moss wedding there were 300 guests, how was at yours?

Anja: I have heard from some people who were there that it was a lot of fun, but there were also many people from the fashion world. I wanted something more intimate and private and secretive.

Sasha: Until today we have no idea how the 2 Paparazzi got there to take photos. And because of that we were(not by our desire) on the cover of a Polish magazine 2 days later.

Anja: And these were not really the best photos. Emanuelle(Alt, from French vogue) called me then and asked me to send some photos to her and gave her some of our wedding photos for the French Vogue.

?Anja, you were wearing a dress by Emilio Pucci.

Anja: Peter Dundas is a very good friend of mine. When i called him to tell him about our wedding he asked me when we will start to make the dress. Also my good friend Giuseppe Zanotti told me that he will be quite angry if I am not wearing his shoes at the wedding.

Sasha: And he also told me the same thing.

?How and where have you both met?

Sasha: At a Dolce&Gabbana campaign shoot they placed Anja right next to me on the photo. And i was thinking at that time that she is the most beautiful of them all.

Anja: Hm, so not the Most beautiful one, but just at that shoot.

Sasha: And you did not even say a word to me at that day(not sure the translation is quite correct, but I bet it means something like that)

Anja: This was my first ever shoot with Steven Meisel and even if they had places Brad Pitt next to me, i would not have noticed him.

Sasha: Typical Anja: The Professional.

? So, not really love at first sight?

Sasha: At the second time we met in New Orleans nothing really happened, but the Third time, our first official date, things clicked.

Anja: Yes, we had a date in Central Park and I wore jeans and a shirt with stripes, not to be too dressy and Sasha came in dressed the same way.

Sasha: With the difference that i was trying to dress the best possible way.

?We had the same consept for the Diba shoot. Do you enjoy working together as in the DKNY ads?

Sasha: yes, we always have a lot of fun when we are together, but there are times we want to kill each other,too...I guess this is normal.

Anja: I am the focused one and Sasha is the easy going one...but it works perfectly well.

Sasha: We are very fortunate to be working together on projects for our careers and plan everything from the start. It is quite pleasant to be next to each other and see the final product in our hands...(sorry, but I am not sure I translated that very well)

?Sasha you are also the chief of 25 magazine.

Sasha: I like to work on new projects and i was always interested in creating a magazine. And we relaunched it together with Anja.

Anja: It was a hell lot of work. We did everything on our own, organized the shootings from the beginning to the end...so after that I have more respect for this job knowing how much it takes to be done.

Sasha: On the other hand there is nothing better than having the final product in your hands. It was so magical with our first issue, it was like holding your baby in your hands for the first time.

part two will come soon

? Many models have their own clothing collection. Are you also interested in it?

Sasha: For this matter you normally should expect Anja to make such plans. However I am already involved with an austrian fashion lable for men. But it is still in the making and i can not say more.

? Sasha you have a home together in Wien and your mother and sister...(I have no idea what they ask him, maybe they live far away or right there, I did not get it). Where can people see you?

Anja: We love the "Naschmarkt"(some market maybe). The food there is great. I also love fleamarkets and have found great stuff there.

Sasha: It is very comfortable that we are still anonymous here in Austria. When we are in Poland, we can not go anywhere without being recognised...it can be brutal sometimes.

?Anja, what do you think about the TV shows for searching models?

Anja: I am a guest judge at "Poland's Topmodel". Of course the real fashion business works in a different way. The beginning is only going from one casting to another. But being in such a show is profitable in any way and many doors can open for the girls. They alrady have a celebrity status. I also tried to participate in 2 contests in the past, but never won.

Sasha: It is not enough these days to just pose. The competition is high and many jobs get done with celebrities. Every day you must work with a new team, always be energetic and to be able to inspire the photographers.

That was it;)))

Thank you radolgc so much! It was a pleasure to read this interview though I'm a little bored with those repetitive questions like "when did you meet for the first time" etc. it must be so borsing for them answering the same questions.
