Currently, Anna is one of the lead editors at Vogue Arabia....
Bio:
Rather than seeing herself as the edgy fashion stylist she is often dubbed, Anna Katsanis prefers the descriptor realist because she draws her inspiration from “Real Women” (the capitals intended). Taking into consideration that females are apt to present themselves differently during varied times in their lives, she sees the feminine form as an ever-evolving tableau. If only we mere mortals looked as chic and sophisticated as Anna views us, the world would certainly be a more fashionable place to live! The Greek-born, U.S.-raised, New York-based stylist has an enviable presence in magazine editorials and fashion advertising, her passion for the dressed and adorned physique dating back to a childhood love of film and fashion design. Drawing on her interests in the cinematic world of movies, her knowledge of fashion’s notable epochs ranges from the 1950s, 60s and 70s to au courant style.
Educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, Anna earned degrees in Fashion Merchandising Management, and Advertising and Marketing Communications. Publication credits include
Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, Tatler and
L’Officiel. Her aim to make women see that fashion is approachable and highly wearable while simultaneously helping them feel glamorous and sophisticated is the foundation of her philosophy, one that has catapulted her into some rarified air styling celebrities and artists the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Atlanta De Cadenet, Ivanka Trump, Li Bing Bing, Ezra Miller, Paul Dano, Bethenny Frankel and Elisabeth Rohm. One of the most remarkable things about Anna, who is represented by
Atelier Management, is the ease with which she handles the pressure of making each person she adorns feel unique and commanding, not an easy feat in our fashion-obsessed culture where judgment goes beyond what you wear to how you are wearing it.
