You could be correct here, the EIC Elis Kiss hasn’t posted the issue on her instagram (previously she had made a post the day of or after each cover reveal) and no one else involved in the shoot has posted about it.

Wow, was the bar really that low? Whoever worked on this project should be genuinely ashamed, not just for the values this face represents (actually, what you see is what you get), but for the poor execution. At this point, the magazine might as well shut down.

Must be consequences inside Conde Nast International, because the Vogue brand doesn't want to be attatched with this kind of people. It's the worst publicity for a brand, and no matter if this belongs to Greece, people in the US will get angry with Vogue. And I'm surprised Platon agreed to being part of this, he's not that famous like Demarchelier or not even Gilles Bensimon, but belongs to the same generation, it's a familiar name for the magazines collectors, and he made major portraits in the past.

Not a gift, technically, as the newspaper bundle with Vogue costs like 2 euros more than the one without it, but pretty much yeah.

Not really. For me, it's another example of how fashions in names shift over time e.g. Meredith and Kimberley used to be men's names, but they've morphed into being more associated with women. But I'd also still associate Kimberley with historical things.
