With her striking looks, it’s no wonder Anniek Kortleve from Select has caught the eye of Nicolas Ghesquiere. We have a quick chat with the flame haired beauty.
How did you become a model?
I was scouted on the street whilst Christmas shopping with my mum. I waited until I had finished high school before starting.
What were you doing before modelling?
In high school. I had planned to take a break, try modelling and then go to uni and maybe study Psychology.
What do you like to do when you’re not modelling?
When I’m travelling on modelling jobs I love to go sight seeing and explore the city I’m in. I’m also doing a creative writing course so I enjoy writing stories. It’s just something I do for fun and as it’s an online course it’s perfect when I’m travelling.
What’s your favourite film??
I don’t like scary movies. I enjoy happy ones like Little Miss Sunshine. Into The Wild is also a great film.
What books do you enjoy reading?
Fiction. I mainly read Dutch books.
What shows did you walk in last season?
I was on worldwide exclusive to Balenciaga last season. It was so much fun and my first Fall fashion week. The season before I did shows in New York, walking for a lot of new up-and-coming designers.
Where has been your favourite place you’ve travelled?
I really like going to Australia.
Do you have a particular photographer you would like to work with?
Yes, I would love to work with Peter Lindbergh.
What’s been your favourite fashion moment so far?
I really like working with Josh Olins whom I shot an upcoming campaign with.
What would you like to do in the future?
I want to model for a few more years and then go back to school in Amsterdam.
If you had hidden treasure where would you bury it?
My parents have a little garden house, I think I would bury it there.
