"When Guram approached me backstage & said I would be the Vetements Bride I was so grateful.

Any1 who knows Guram, knows how meticulous passionate & dedicated he is. I immediately thought of the hours we’d spent in his atelier as he described memories of cutting up his mothers night gowns as a child.How she would look at him & say ‘one day you’ll make me a beautiful dress”.

The plan was to elegantly enter the runway representing his vision. Pause for the cameras, & hold for dramatic affect,then @travisscott @gigihadid & @gvasalia would join me, bow & we’d return backstage as a group celebrating

I’d only a few minutes before lineup to test the weight of the dress & completely forgot to ask for a higher heel to hold the dress higher off the ground.
The moment I entered the runway my heel repeatedly got caught & by the time I recollected myself it had been too noticeable. Had no choice but 2 pick up the dress & walk - all elegance & grace out the window. I had a moment of panic knowing how bad the walk was going. I needed to come up w/a way to make it appear as if all my ‘mistakes’ were on purpose. I decided to go from elegant to defiant bride, hoping the character switch would work. I arrived in front of cameras &imagined all the things that could possibly go wrong when Travis Gigi & Guram arrived; the embarrassment I already felt was enough & couldn’t take more. Only 1 word was going through my head-Run

So that’s what I did Lord

While the 3 were stood on their marks oblivious to what was taking place, the screaming from prod. came … “ANOK IS RUNNING OFF THE RUNWAY! ANOK IS RUNNING OFF THE RUNWAY! GURAM GO FOR FINALE! NOW!! ANOK IS RUNNING! WHY IS SHE RUNNING?!”

They were forced out-Travis & Guram basically walking blind because of the glasses & flashing lights while Gigi stayed in the middle guiding them. In the heat of the moment & the plan completely blowing up, instead of returning back up the runway, they completely walked out the building 💀

I ran backstage in tears looking for Guram so I could explain myself & beg for his forgiveness for ruining the show. Thankfully, he yelled “how did you think of that?!” "
