If you had to identify yourself with a decade, which would it be?
The decade would be the seventies, seems like a really sexy, beautiful and free one... or is it those romantic pictures from my parents from when they were young that makes me idealize that time in history...
As a former architecture student, which is your favorite city for architecture?
It’s very difficult to prefer one city over another, it's like saying that one person is more beautiful than someone else, but of course there are some that stand out in their originality, I could make a really long list... but the one city that really blew my mind was Tokyo, I was there when there was an earthquake, the whole city shook around, and even with all those skyscrapers...nothing was damaged! The whole city was built with an architecture technique that can stand really severe earthquakes; you can see that the quality of building design is very developed! In comparison against that you have for example Cappadocia in Turkey which is a city carved out of the rocks, which is also mind blowing.
In clothes do you look for creativity or wearability?
Both, if it's uncomfortable, I don't wear it — but I love creativity
Your favorite place away from home...
Away from home, is my other home, Belgium, which is my favorite hangout
What inspires your personal style?
I think good style comes out of your own inspiration from a moment (I tend lately to lean to elegance, I mean I think I do, in a way — I don't have a clue, as long as it looks good to me then I'm happy) I always have a hard time with 'copies' but of course nowadays, everything is a copy and everything came from somewhere... and copies sort of pay respect to the original... but they are usually made with really bad materials that are bad for the environment. Yes — that's what bothers me, it's that the copies are usually bad for the environment...
