Are height and foot size related?

I'm only 5 feet tall, and my feet are a bit larger
- US 7
- European 36-37.5 (depending on the shoe).

and although i'm right handed, my right foot is smaller by a full half-size, so i buy according to my left foot.

Most people my height take at least a size UK 6

I hope this means I grow, my mom wears little bigger size than me and she's almost 5'10
