Area S/S 2026 New York

I didn’t realized that N.A was named CD of a brand!
Quite odd pairing. I see that he kept a few of his Tom Ford-isms.

It’s not bad. It’s actually rather good in some moments even if some proportions are « weird » but I’m not so familiar with the ethos of brand. But it’s NYC so I guess it’s superior to a lot of things.

When they abruptly announced in February the other guy who cofounded it was leaving the brand completely and we’ve already replaced him it was a bit confusing. Wonder what happened, seems they were doing fine under him but maybe not or some internal struggle? I never liked their clothes and same with this but you can definitely see this guys resume because it’s a bit of a vomit mix of all in a way.

Wait they changed directors? When did this happen, and is this really a brand that warrants the need to do that?

It’s Vaquera, it’s Christian Cowan, and a little bit of Laquan Smith. But I do see a tinge of David Koma from the last few years and even Dion Lee which has gone bust.

Adding the show video, as it was better in motion than looking at the stills.
And in the HQ stills, I will say- it doesn't look as good as I had hoped.

I loved the tied pants concept, that was super fresh and unexpected.
The show is pretty good though. Take a look, if you haven't.

So is it now done by new CD? Was it someone else doing it before? I thought it's someone's personal brand, not a brand that hires CDs... Most of it are show pieces. I can not imagine they are selling most of these pieces... This guy can actually do nice at Balmain, if more edited and better atelier.
