Arlenis Sosa

She stopped doing runway almost immediately after getting that beauty contract. It helps to keep walking and keep showng your face to the designers, editors and stylists to keep those connections. I wonder how long that contract is for considering that Lancôme just signed 3 new models but especially jasmine tookes (who I see in ALL the magazines) Anyway look at Joan and Liu Wen, they both walk their select shows but they still walk the big names even though they have major beauty contracts which I think really helps in the long run.

Arlenis never was a runway favorite. It's hard to imagine a big designer or casting director jumping on board now.....unless she signs to IMG and they literally force her on the industry the way they did Joan (no shade).

I still kinda blame Marilyn. It's hard to believe they didn't capitalize on VS when she was shooting for them on what seemed like a daily basis. That had died down and she hasn't walked the show in 5 years so it seems as though that opportunity is fading away.

It's really sad her career isn't more exciting. Guess she's happy being a money girl but her career is extremely boring from a fan perspective. She was my first model love though, and I still think she's the most beautiful of all the minority girls working today......so I quietly hold out hope she had a career resurgence and rises to the top. Crazier things have happened.
