The latest Benetton project: Lana Sutra was created by Erik Ravelo, a Cuban artist at Fabrica. These art pieces embody the idea of color and of a woolen thread linking all humankind. The Lana Sutra is a series of 15 installations conceived as a homage to love and dedicated to the desire for an equal and sharing society.

^ No, I don't think so. Jenny generally doesn't use attractive or famous people in her paintings and I think they're all the better for it. I think she can pick up the torch left by Lucian Freud in the realm of figurative painting excellence. I'm so over the whole conceptual and installation art scene today, as it seems these days, you can stick a snooker cue in a hole with a pair of dirty underpants dangling from it and the art world will applaud (and Charles Saatchi will buy it). I love Jenny's work and here's some more of it:

Those Jenny Saville paintings are very disturbing and powerful. And yes, I definitely can see the Freud in them, too.
