zzz looks like every other collection they've ever done. But it may be too early to judge.

Are the bags an ironic joke at luxury brands? Just curious.

Doesn't look too bad. It seems a sophisticated change from their more esoteric practices.

:p ...just what i was thinking...

scott...it would seem that the bags are a blatant attempt at garnering a piece of the accessories money tree...

it seems that everyone is now doing accessories...it's like there was a memo circulated...but everyone seems to now believe in that formula ... sell the image but make money on accessories...it's no longer perfume...now it's bags and shoes...

proenza schouler and clements ribeiro both launched accessories for spring...and zac posen has announced that he will shortly as well...

it seems everyone's just trying to cash in on the luxury market... ^_^

thansk for the pics space...i will have to see more before i can assess the collection fully...

Yeah,it just seems odd seeing snakeskin bags(especially two in tow!) that resemble one's that Gucci might produce. Especially with As Four.

Aparently they are doing bags with Kate Spade:rolleyes: , but I guess one of the boys used to work for her

oh my gosh!!...really space?!...kate spade...

wow...it doesn't get much more mainstream than that does it?...

thx for filling us in...

actually first time i ever heard of asfour was because of their famous round bags..

not sure about their fw line, i dont feel the colours and i'm certainly not in a satin mood

 That's a nice assesment,droogist :flower:

Lena, that was me as well. In fact,I was a big fan then but their pretense just became intolerable.

to be honest, most designers/teams ARE painfully pretentious, its not as if asfour or ioc discovered hype..
personally, all i care about is the collections and i have come to admit.. pretentious people can -occasionally- pull an interesting collection,
:ninja: its not as if pretentiousness deprives people from talent.. :p

Isn't New York disgusting in how the designers are so blatant about following those trend forcasting agencies? Almost every show was a clone. Satin and "Russian" (whatever, I don't know where they got that from) captures just about everything that was shown...

funny thing faust... even though Russia IS satin is NOT in trend books for next winter :D

 See, you just rewakaned my conspiracy theory about collusion  .

maybe NY designers trust different trend agencies than their EU colleagues :D

I do not see imagination, nor creativity. just people afraid to use what's not consider chic!

There's nothing special about it, it's boring, as stated above, no creativity.

I noticed this tucked away at the end of the review at style.com:

If the quartet's spring outing felt like two steps forward, this one—despite the beauty and imagination on display—represented one step back. Some strong individual pieces aside, it felt like a rehashing of territory from two or three seasons ago. And the group's failure to take a bow fueled ongoing speculation about a possible breakup—speculation that was confirmed three days later, when Kai announced his departure from the collective.

Looks like it's As Three now. (Would that it were As None... :innocent:)
