Hmph, this all looks pretty regressive to me. I'm relieved that they've finally kicked their lamé addiction, but otherwise it's the same tired exercise in cut that they've been repeating since the very beginning. And those Hammer pants are pretty painful to behold...

But,you know,since you mention that,perhaps the fact they haven't included all that overt metallic stuff,it might be clouding my judgement. It looks pretty good a bit more sober,though. Seems a bit more mysterious. Perhaps this had something to do with KAI as he often wears that sort of stuff himself?

It's very anti-color. Not a bad thing, but it does give the impression of being a spring collection for someone whose favorite season is winter.

Perhaps this is what one wears to a spring premiere of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull.

I'm partial to this look with the shorts...it's the one that most says "Spring!" to me.

yea, i have to agree that trousers is really the most standout part of this collection because it is the only thing i remember when i think of As Four spring '06 is that pants. seriously. i can't figure if that is a good or bad thing. :S

Yes Julian Lennon did play. Angela's boyfriend is the lead singer of his band. It was interesting. A nice vibe, based on jungle animal sounds, And as always with Asfour, something completely different from all the other shows,

By the way - you do know that all the outfits are denim?

Go see the Guerilla store on Broadway, where they also threw their show, its great.

All of their designs are based on the circle, so that may be why it looks familiar (or regressive?)

I think their designs look best when they are clean, modern. It gives it balance. When everything is over the top (non-structural details, weird fabrics) then it feels like there's no direction.
