I'm watching the VMA's preshow.

Did anybody else have to mute her? I did. She was so incredibly off-key. Its pretty disgusting that someone so clearly untalented can have a music career because of who her sister is

Oh and for the record...I did unmute occasionally to see if it got any better but nope, off-key.

I didn't watch it. But I have seen her perform live, and she was quite good. I have her album, and I can't pretend not to like it. Its actually the only thing I've been listening to since I've bought it.

She hasn't had that much expirience performing. When you get nervous/excited/whatever it really can change how well you perform.

Her sister is sh!t, at least ashlee writes everything on her album. I completley disagree that Ashlee has a career because of her sister.

You know, usually you perform and get a fanbase, then you get a record deal. Not the other way around, which is the case with Ashlee.

And she doesn't completely write them, she gets help.

And while I don't like her sister's music, I can appreciate that she has talent.

I don't know if even most of the respected artists write their entire first album w/o help. =/

She's still not good live...she doesnt have experience and how do we know if her earpiece is working and she can hear herself?...Even the best go offkey if the earpiece is botched.

Anyways...I heard her album when I was riding in my friends car. I didn't expect it to be any good and I was surprised. It wasn't what I expected it to be.

The album's.. ehhh... alright.

But yea.. she does suck live... but then again.. she doesn't have much experience.. I remember being bored and stuck inside one day watching a marathon of her show.. and she had problems hearing herself... and her dad tried to fix it, but she bitched him out...

Maybe she should have listend to daddy.

And these bands are not famous because of their singing. I think this really says something.

of course they do...they are called musicians...and they can actually play instruments and have talent... they are not just good-looking puppets that a record company hires and promotes as an 'artist'...

artist is such an overused and abused word these days...

besides ashlee simpson looks like a troll...that black hair is so freakin' fake...i can't take it much longer...and people b*tch around that avril is fake punk...HA!!!!...this girl's about as rock as a pink bunny rabbit...

thank you i didnt even want to reply but you said it all really.

it isnt too hard to go out there and find REAL music......its just sad that kids today are too lazy and too clueless . thank god there was none of this nonsense when i was 'coming of age'......when i was 12 it was all about indie rock.

dont even get me started on ashley's "image" its quite pathetic reallly and i cannot help but to judge those who like it.... sorry.

Wow, the girl really can't sing. I didnt think she could sing on record...live is just sad. As a enormous 7th Heaven fan (it's not funny), I really wanted to like her but it's like wow...you're really, really bad. Don't get me wrong, her sister's no diva but at least she can pretend on record and she's gorgeous. They both seem like nice girls though, I bet Ashlee is a really good painter or something.
