Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor

It makes me so sad that people like her are famous and get money to buy more tacky hideous clothes, and be potographed over and over, when there are much prettier, cooler, more stylish and nicer people who deserve better. I dont like her because, like someone has mentioned, there is second to no pictures where she isn't smoking or drinking.:sick:
She is pretty, but her behaviour detracts from that, so now I just think she is ugly. I am actually getting quite angry now, gosh  !

Who's daughter is she anyway? Stings? Cause she aint be so famous without a rocker daddy. Ick. I hate this girl.

Aww lets give her a break, I was doing the exact same thing at here age, smoking and drinking nd partying.. Ive quit smoking now, I grew out of it.

But I like that she can combine certain pieces and pull it off when others would look like complete clowns in the same outfit. I wish I was as stylish at her age.

Well.... to me thats what I dont like. I think she does look like a clown though.

She's the daughter of John Taylor of Duran Duran and the step daughter of Nick Valensi of The Strokes.

Whippie, I think you're too harsh on her. Of course she's drinking/smoking in those pics, as they're pictures of her PARTYING. And I'm not defending her attitude as I don't drink nor I smoke, but it's her choice. Plus she just turned 18 and sadly or not, that's what teenagers do on their weekends.

If she wants to drink and smoke that's certainly her own business, but as far as her attitude goes I can say that she is extremely nice and a little quirky even.

Well I didn't know what her personality was that kind of off-beat quirky type. Certainly explains her dressing! ^_^ But because she's in the public eye I think she should take a little more care, if even its just putting her beer or ciggie behind her back, so it's not so flagrently displayed. I know people like Lindsay Lohan act the same way, but she endures critisism from the media, while Atlanta probably dosn't. I guess I'm just a little frustrated at people who act this way because they might not think it, but it does influence young people. I totally agree, it's her body, her life, but public figures have a "duty of care", because they do influence, and that influence has consequences. Those consequences I've seen all to well, so I would just like to advise people like her to acknowledge their infulence and act accordingly. I didn't mean to sound so harsh. :flower:

I definitely see where you're coming from, and you're right, if Lindsay Lohan had been photographed drinking and smoking so often at Atlanta's age she would have been put into rehab or something! It's definitely a double standard but I also think that the demographic is a bit different- let's be real, Atlanta's fans are probably hipsters and it's just part of that culture I guess to be cool with mild drugs, smoking, partying and drinking. So I'm guessing that anyone who follows her enough to see her as a role model probably does all that stuff anyway lol

Well, she is half european, and the legal drinking age there is 18, and while that isnt an excuse, honestly how many of us acted "resposibly" at that age, and could actually be "good rolemodels"? I dont think that is really a priority at 18, I have 2 sisters who are now into their teenage years and sometimes I wonder why I wasnt a "better" rolemodel when I was their age, but I was still in the process of making my own mistakes and learning from them. There is a double standard but also, there are other kids her age who are not being photographed, who are doing the exact same thing. Should she stop the things she is doing just because she is in the public eye? Thats quite the double standard too.

From what Ive heard she a really sweet girl who just has a unique dress sense. I think shes adorable, and if her parents arent doing anything about the drinking & smoking, I dont think anyone else has the right to crucify her for it.

I've seen her drinking with her mother, so I'm going to assume it's not a big deal with her. Let her do her thang

That babyblue dress looks kind of weird... like a big doll with a grown-up face.
