Oh, I love those nmyngan! Perhaps the loveliest woman ever to have graced cinema

you are welcome nel, i'm not her fan but i like to collect some of her pics, she's very lovely and graceful i think.. :D

One of the things I really love about her is the fact that her image wasn't a deception, all of the things she was famous for - being shy, sweet, elegant, graceful, kind, beautiful, stylish, demure - they were very much who she actually was. She was genuine, in other words, all the while remaining very humble about it all.

The last picture is so regal! I just  her. One thing that's been annoying me lately is when people say they are most irritated when celebrities do Marilyn-inspired photoshoots/looks. For me, it's when they try to imitate Audrey. There is nobody that possesses the same class, humility, and dignity that Audrey had nor her innocent beauty, for that matter.

True true, but I think the MM impersonations are particularly exasperating for people because it's been done SO many times. Audrey certainly has her fair share of imitators, but it's nothing on all those gosh darn Elvis/Marilyn/etc. impersonators that have been clogging the earth ever since those stars arrived on the scene. Ugh, ugh, ugh - for me there's nothing worse than seeing Hohan butchering a famous Monroe photoshoot or Paris Hilton dressing up as Holly Golightly. :yuk: All of it just needs to stop, imo.

I agree that it needs to stop. I just think that Marilyns will come and go but Audrey Hepburn will never be duplicated. I like Marilyn, but she's not one-of-a-kind to me. Although I agree with you that NOBODY deserves Hilton or Lohan imitating them. That's just below the belt right there.

Part of the reason I like people like Audrey is because they're the exact opposite of the Hohans and Hiltons - if they have to exist, at least leave the legacy of the classy ones alone :innocent:

That's a really good way to put it. Celebs these days, even those that admire and try to imitate her never seem to possess the humility and dignity (and thus class, the way I see it) Audrey has.
