After watching Charade again last night, I think she may have surpassed all of the Hitchcock blondes as my favorite Hitchcock heroine. She was the definition of class in its purest sense. I love her.
Charade was actually directed by Stanley Donen although I'm sure he was very much inspired by or channelling Alfred Hitchcock's classic thrillers. That said I just adore Charade; it's one of my favourite Audrey Hepburn films. It would actually have been very interesting if Hitchcock had made a film with Audrey Hepburn. Apart from her lack of blonde hair I think she would have fit the Hitchcock heroine archetype very well. Ausrey was always pure class and beauty and didn't possess an overt sex appeal that Hitchcock seemed to have a distaste for.

Oops. Thanks for the correction! :flower: I guess I just assumed it was a Hitchcock production because of its whimsically mysterious plot and Cary Grant.

^ I read somewhere, must've been an Audrey bio, that Hitchcock had been considering her for a part she had to turn down for some reason (scheduling conflicts maybe) and he never forgave her for it. Pity, pity! But hey, at least we have Charade :)

The Funny Face pics in #1936 are great - her waist is so tiny!

Just saw Two for the Road...she's so amazing and I love her clothes:D

Thanks so much for the picture, kochie332! :flower: She looks effortlessly chic. I could find a dozen outfits worn by celebrities today that look identical to Audrey's in that photo. She still is influencing fashion today. A true icon.

^I was honestly thinking the same thing!!! Some of her outfits most definitely could be worn in today's world and still be considered fashionable. style that transcends time, that is difficult!

Does anyone have pics of Audrey in Breakfast At Tiffany's, especially those of her outside the store?
