^ Exactly! And unlike Pam and Nicole, she had more going for her than her body. She wasn't an object of sexual lust OR purely aesthetic appreciation/ridicule. She had style, grace and an amazing aura around her. She was gorgeous no doubt!

I think thats one of the issues/conflicts of girls/young women today...be the nice girl/take home to mama or that wild/loose girl. I would like to see more of the class. I hope guys are still looking for the 1st choice...but sometimes I wonder(think they don't) and I think it negatively affects some girls.
Anyhow Audrey had her faults but she carried herself well and I think her warmth is what really did it for her.

Why we love Audrey

The reason all women love Audrey is becuase she had, as the French would say, that Je ne sais quois. She was the woman we all want to be.... Kind and caring, loving, down to earth, beautiful, classy, stylish, well spoken... the list goes on. She had one of those personalities where you couldn't help but watch her.

Just my opinon, I guess you won't all agree... there was definately something about her, but somehow I cant quite put my finger on it!

Yes it is. When you see girls like Paris and Linsdey and Kim Kardashian getting attention, it confuses young girls and they think, hey I need to be the wild, loose sex-tape making party girl to get attention. And that is sickening. Back in the day, even if you were te bad girl, you still tried to look good in public. Now, it's cool to be bad. Yes, I'm old fashioned and I plan on staying that way. We need someone to bring back class (even if it IS seen as boring).

I definitely agree! The essence of Audrey is like one spectacular recipe that your friend will not share with you, and even though you might be able to guess some or most of the ingredients...you won't ever know that secret ingredient that makes it so special! Hence why there might be some slightly similar versions of Audrey, but there won't ever be another Audrey!

I agree with that...but again I think its guys too,they pay attention to that type nowadays. But I guess sooner or later they(guys) have to come back down to reality,than I guess old fashion girls come into Vogue...jokes! Some more of my favs of her in HQ,hope these aren't repeats. Dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' is auctioned for $192,000

A pink cocktail dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" was auctioned Wednesday for nearly $200,000 — more than six times what the auctioneers expected.

The sleeveless dress, worn for the scene in which Holly Golightly discovers her brother has died, sold for $192,000 to a private European buyer at Christie's sale of film and entertainment memorabilia. The iconic black dress she also wore in the film sold for more than $800,000 last year at London auction.

Christie's said it had expected the pink dress to sell for as much as $30,000.

"The sale was filled with iconic pieces," said Helen Hall, Christie's head of entertainment memorabilia. "It captured people's imagination."

Hall said the auction house was pleased with the results of the sale, which brought in $1.2 million.

Other items on the block included Marilyn Monroe's script for "Something's Got To Give," with the actress' handwritten notes, which sold for $19,200. A program from President John F. Kennedy's birthday celebration that featured the actress at Madison Square Garden went for $66,000.

All the prices include the Christie's commission.

^ I never receive updates on this thread even though I subscribe to it... so I have some catching up to do. That pink dress is beautiful and it looked amazing on Audrey. I hope that it'll be donated to a museum so we can all see it.

Thanks for the pictures, I had heard about the black dress she wears in the opening scenes but didn't know they had sold others....

I'm not suprised they went for so much, who wouldn't want to buy into Audrey Hepburns look? If only it could make us all as sophisticated!

What is "it" about Audrey? We all know we're drawn to it, anyone want to take a shot at trying to discribe that indiscribable something? She's amazing.

I don't know what it is. I go CRAZY if I see anything Audrey related by surprise. Like, I was in a furniture store and came across an Audrey print (printed on wood) and squealed with glee. Even though I have a poster size version of the photo where she's gazing into Tiffany's, I still wanted it. I had to talk myself out of buying something that I essentially already had. Audrey is the tops.
