Audrey Tautou

or is just the "others"(Oscars, Golden Globes...etc.) who doesn't have a clue about what film is...:o .... :p :flower:
...by the way, I haven't seen The Da Vinci Code.... and I'm properly not gonna see it... but I must say Audrey is a stunning and amazing actress.. there is only so much you can do as an actress/actor with a popcorn film based on a so bad written book.... forget Julia Roberts... she can't act for sh*t...... Ups... I'm sounding a bit harsh here...sorry..:flower:
I just meant this is not a film to be shown in competitive arenas- even as at Cannes, "out of competition", it still makes people want to pick it apart and truly, it is a fun popcorn thriller...not a classic...and that is what I meant when I compared her in moments to Julia...Julia thrives in that genre. I can take or leave Julia personally...not the biggest of fans.
Usually we see Audrey in character-driven vehicles which are geared around her presonality. I thought it shows well for her that she can be in a plot driven ensemble thriller and still do that well...some actors can't make that leap.
On the Allure article, I think her English/math was a little off when she gave what her weight was...she does not look alarming to me...she looks just right, proportioned and petite healthy.
A reminder: no weight/ED talk allowed in here. There is a designated thread for that.
Read the posting policy to refresh yourself on it all...thanks.

She's so adorable :crush: I can't wait to see this movie tonight!!

Yes I know...^_^ I just couldn't help myself picking up on you "elitism" comment about Cannes...:innocent: and to be quite honest most of the oscar and golden globes awarded films I wouldn't be bothered to see..and the films which are award are so predictable and again I can't believe that an actress like Julia Roberts can get an oscar, with so many other amazing and talented actresses around(the world)...including Audrey, and it's good for her she can make the leap, because that means more work(money..), but I don't think we gonna se something special from her in these kind of films, you can take other examples of french actresses/actors who has made so many bad "american" appearances.. another example is Penelope Cruz(I know she is spanish..), which I think is a fantastic actress in films such as Almodovar's"Todo Sobre Mi Madre", Bigas Lunas"Jamon Jamon", Fernando Trueba"Belle Epoque" to name a few, while I think she has failed miserable in her "amaerican" appearances, but hey there is money in it... but all this is a matter of taste, where I prefer a "cannes" selection of films...:flower:

Oh, I agree with you:lol: - I am quite a film snob (as I think you know from the films I say I see and my love for silents and classics) so when I go to big budget/mainstream flicks (about once a year) I take that into consideration that its not a niche film and is meant to satisfy the masses for across the board appeal. It is a good move for her and will give her the power to have film projects she wants to do, immediately green-lit and made:woot:
I personally would see her in just about anything...I adore Audrey:heart:
Penelope, not so much...:ninja:
ps- Rosebud, gorgeous pictures!

i love audrey tatou
she has such a childlike quality about her features
was wondering how to post my own threads. anyone offering help?
i cannot find it anywhere

I just got back from seeing the movie...umm it was horrible, but I still love Audrey! she and Ian McKellen are the only reasons to watch the movie. They changed stuff from the book for what seemed like no reason it drove me nuts, but she was adorable though they made her character less cool than Sophie was in the book, I guess to make Tom Hank's seem like a real hero whereas in the book well Langdon kinda sucked sometimes. Anyways she did as best as she could with that bad script, she was adorable :)
