some info:

Studied acting at the renowned "Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch". While he was still a student there, he was already heavily engaged in stage work and also participated in 23 (1998).
Plays guitar
His family moved a lot while he was growing up. He lived in Hamburg, Vienna, Düsseldorf and Paris. He graduated from school (Abitur) in Bavaria/Germany.
First hints that he was to become an actor surfaced while he was still a child. Decided to become an actor while he participated in "Die Räuber" as "Franz Mohr" in a school play. He was 18 at the time.
Currently lives in Berlin, Germany (2003)
Speaks German, French and English
Father is actor Hans Diehl, his mother is a costume designer. He has a brother.
2000: Named as one of European films 'Shooting Stars' by European Film Promotion.
Chosen "most important German actor of today" by "Gala" magazine (May 2006). (imdb.com)
