Back in Black...

I've attached a picture (From Y! auctions) of what I think is the most brilliant and mind boggling item of black men's clothing I've seen in recent memory, or perhaps ever. I dunno...there's just something so sinister, dirty and menacing about this jacket, I couldn't stop returning to stare it at every few minutes for the past half hour. It almost has an element of evil, definitely got a very dangerous edge. Maybe it's the lighting, but if the jacket has that kind of psychological effect in real life then I am simply blown away. I'd love to own and wear this if I could afford it, it is such a true work of art, what a powerful statement that would be!

Mmm, those looks are all perfect. That is all black done extremely well, imo...especially that first look, with the jacket's pitch black next to the texture of the shirt which gives it an almost charcoal grey appearence, it looks amazing.

and that fourth look, I could live in that and be quite content.

Agree with FtB and Spike, the Rick Owens/Levis/CCP outfit is pretty close to perfect.

FtB, I like that danger jacket too, who makes it? Pardon my ignorance :innocent:

faust, thanks for posting!

It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.

Ah my bad for not putting the designer in my post. The jacket is by CCP...going on Y! now for 270,000 yen (about $2,300 USD), and if my reasoning skills are correct, from the description it says there's only 18 copies of that jacket in the world.

Fade to Black, I think this jacket is part of your soul now. May I respectfully suggest you buy it. Find a way. Discovering this jacket is like finding a true love, I feel this coming through in your post. In life you must always grab true true love when you find it.

i love all the clothes....
too bad about the model...:(

well...at least he has dark hair...
:p

upon reading haruki's post...
i take back my original statement...
love is too strong...
i LIKE most of this...

and i am really beginning to dislike the boy...:ninja: :yuk:

i have to say...
i don't think it get's much sexier for me than a man in a fitted black button down shirt...
blk leather doesn't hurt either...
and blk leather boots...*swoon*

*but it could be $4000 or $4 from the thrift store...
it's still about the man WEARING the piece more than the piece itself....
the attitude has to come from within...

I tell you, NY Times spreads are THE BEST. It's amazing.

We already have another "black" thread in Trend Spotting, black for men can also be discussed within the SAME thread. Threads will be merged. :flower:

hehe... :flower: Very nice and encouraging!

hehe, yeah...but considering I refuse to go into male prostitution or credit card debt, I think that jacket is out of the question for a long time to come... :innocent: It is a very striking and unique piece, however. Just looking at that jacket leaves me breathless.

Hehe... those two options are not very healthy options ^_^

Maybe you could try to sell something you don't use very often...? like recycling your wardrobe... that is what i'm doing to get the money to buy my Cloak jacket ^_^

yeah...i am trying to get rid of an extremely rare Dolce & Gabbana leather motorcycle jacket from vintage past season, the leather is absolutely superb and it would go for thousands in boutiques nowadays, but i don't know where to list it...eBay is so cluttered with fakes i'll probably end up getting short changed.

anyway sorry to go off topic.

I love black... my wardrobe consists of alot of black and earth tone colors :) Black will forever be in my life B)
