Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2013

With the Mayan calendar a popular topic of late, Mark Badgley and James Mischka decided to look to the Aztec Mayan calendar for their pre-fall inspiration — of course as the beginning, not the end, of a new world. They translated their message with intricate beading, lacework and ornate embroideries in tribal patterns. At times, these looks came across as subtle (on a dress’ cuff and belt) but mostly were full-on in their signature glitzy motifs.
