there are plenty once people get over the whole "chanel is too big and heritgae for *insert lesser known designer* " narrative. That said could be anyone at all... filipo, lutz, pilati, tisci, ghesquire, vauthier, matiussi, jeremy scott, the list goes on. if they want to follow through lagerfelds whimsy, they should hire jeremy scott. it will not be for everyone but their top buyers will go crazy with all the crazy bags and gimmicks he will come up with and he will for sure have plenty of sold out hundred thousands limited edition minaudieres.

Is the gossip from the Celine/Hedi direction that he has a new fashion job somewhere lined up? Or is the possibility of him wandering off to make a movie or something still on the table?

I want to see him stay in the game, especially after these recent videos, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has it in him to make a movie or two somewhere down the line.

I agree with JS for that exact reason. He has a decade worth of work history of creative clothes every season with a desirable miniaudiere.

If JS goes to Chanel it will be like unbelievable... HIs name went from being Heatherette-adjacent to Paris Haute Couture... crazy

Maria Grazia for Chanel! Her imperial/corporate feminism (Christine Lagarde as her new muse) would fit the brand so well, let alone her two sucessful tenures with 360 degree oriented products that would do wonders for the brands she worked.
