Balenciaga F/W 2025.26 Paris

This feels like a step backwards after last season's flirtations with boudoir fetish.

I'm sure that upon close inspection things aren't exactly what they 'seam' but as a spectacle, especially watching from a screen, it feels drab and dour.

It is what it is, it is what it is, sigh.

Guys sorry I sound hella biased and cynical but I think we can agree that this show will not be any radically different to the horrors we’ve seen at balenciaga for the past 2+ seasons lol
…… right i stand by my point lol

Deep inside in my soul I was hoping for the best but damn he keeps abusing us like that

why is he pushing so much tailoring and suits? When did Balenciaga become a house known for tailoring?

All I wanna know is who’s the person who will resurrect Balenciaga after Demna?

Also I used to be a person who thought “ wow who would ever buy full balenciaga looks?” But let me reassure you that these people exist- you can find all of them at hotel costes 1-2 weeks before or during the PFW or in Dubai…… my eyeballs might never recover……..

Probably a controversial opinion...but I really do love the tailored pieces and some of the evening looks. I know Demna is very intent on doing leisure/casual wear seriously — probably because it sells well and he enjoys trolling — but he really has a talent for cutting clothes. I get that part of his schtick is playing with taste, but it would actually be more subversive if he focussed his talents on making "pretty" things because when he does they're really exceptional.

The show was incredibly hard to watch. It was extremely hard to digest the looks because they kept coming like POW POW POW. Idk if the pacing was done like that on purpose or not, but that was very assaulting to my brain. The casting was so scatterbrained too. Usually, they’re more concise with the people they pick, but it was so varied this time, and I didn’t understand why this time. The closing model made me giggle hard.

The clothes were fine I guess for the customer. I don’t mind the tailoring, and I’m sure upon closer inspection the clothes aren’t as mundane as they actually are. But It does feel like he’s run out of things to say. As someone noted above, it did feel like a swan song, and the set felt cold af.

So, Demna is a fan of Eric Videos?

I hate that I get this reference lol

Anyway, vile vile crap on the runway tonight. Apparently those track suit looks are a Puma collab. I really hope none of the reviewers will try to over-intellectualize this crap. It’s a rotten runway proposition not worthy of the house’s name.

When he eventually leaves, I can see this house having the same issue as Gucci tbh.
Love or hate him, and I am not the biggest fan, he kept Balenciaga relevant and desirable. It might have not appealed to everyone but I feel like he really drove a lot of fashion discourse since arriving at the house and that is no easy feat.
