Balenciaga Resort 2015 New York

This is too much to take in, it's the first collection from Wang at Balenciaga that I'm like "what tha f*ck?!??"

That look on Bruna Tenório looks like a Dior dress from Raf, don't remember which season is but it is the same, those last 3 looks look like Donna Karan, the first looks, Victoria Beckham, some Proenza in the middle.... such a generic collection, I'm still amazed this is Balenciaga! I LOVE him, but how did Wang managed to present this, looks so bad, and something like Prabal would do, taking literal copies from other designers... :ninja:

p.s. the best piece is the coat that Anna Ewers is wearing! :flower:

His fall collection was bad, and this is just a complete FLOP. Get it together, Wang.

What's the point?

Can't he just hire a good design director to handle the pre-collections like Nicholas did? Wang's own line was a mess for resort as well.

Wang for his own label is excellent, he's excellent at his craft but at Balenciaga he misses the mark, not that I don't appreciate the the collection just falls flat.

^ I agree Mutterlein, i'd heir Pedro Lourenço for pre-collections, I would love that.

I hate making the Raf for Dior comparison, I really do. But come on.

I really don't want to compare this with Raf's Dior but this collection screams Raf for Dior except it lacks Raf's touches of femininity and emotions which is why this collection is so so bad. Like he didn't even try to make it better.

I see a little bit of Dior by Raf, a litt+le bit of Celine, esp spring 2013.

This is just very sad, it has no qualities to it, even if the fabrication and workman ship is well done. It's simply not enough for this house.

If anything this house should always push the envelope. even in a resort collection.

I'm extremely disappointed with this collection, mostly because I've always enjoyed his previous creations for the brand. This resort collection is seriously one of the laziest attempt to produce something just for the sake of commercially producing something, there's no direction, some pieces look like Raf's Dior, others are extremely bland and unnecessary.

This is just so lazy, there may as well be Alexander Wang labels sewn into the backs of the pieces and not Balenciaga Paris, at the end of the day he has the house codes to play with, not his own aesthetic.

And the pieces look extremely cheap, may I add.

This is "nice" but nice in a Narciso Rodriguez copy kind of way. It's very sad to see Balenciaga become so irrelevant nowadays. Let's hope the main collection is much better.

this is lame, this is nothing. i even waste my time to comment this mess...
