Balenciaga S/S 2013 : Kremi Otashliyska, Kirstin Kragh Liljegren & Sam Rollinson

i'm happy meisel went with something simple
details are too easy to lose in campaigns (versace was so overphotoshopped?? you could barely see what julia was wearing in half of saint laurent???) and the best ones i always think make you want to touch the clothes

imo it worked in 1993 and it works now, I like it.
Besides, Meisel is always rehashing other photographers´work, at least this time he´s doing it to himself (as far as I can tell)...

Love the whole campaign:heart:, the girls look cool and the clothes look amazing, just wish there were more images:D

Wow this is very nice!! The lighting is so utterly perfect and every girl played her part beautifully. I really love the look of this overall campaign.

It's okay I guess. It's nice but a kinda boring. Kremi for sure is the best part of this and I also do wish Giedre was here.

That's it? Can't say I'm satisfied but nonetheless this is a gorgeous campaign. I'm glad Meisel cut the theatrics and chose to present Nicolas' final collection in a simple but striking campaign. I'd believe it if someone said this campaign was from the early 00s.

i'm liking this! thanks for the full campaign, seeing it like that makes me really love the models used and the whole setting!

Stupid me for believing that maybe just maybe Steven Meisel would cast models we've actually heard of for the Balenciaga campaign. This is just so boring.

I was surprised to see the striking resemblance to the classic 1993 Versace ads but nonetheless, it works well here too. It's like the new version except for the brand.

Is that the full campaign? Only 6 shots? I mean, come on. There gotta be some more. And like what I always say, I am completely clueless as to who are these models. But good for them.

Well for me, I can't help but like this! With the exception of Miu Miu Resort, he hasn't made models look like "Meisel Girls" in this sort of way in a long time. Reminds me of just what he could bring out in a girl that made his work so special to me back in the day (like his Italian Vogue work with Elise Crombez, Daria Werbowy, Julia Stegner and Jessica Stam..they are very young models, but still..it has that sort of feeling to me.) Nonchalance and aloofness, but with an edge and I think these girls have got that charm and star quality. And don't even get me started on the shapes. Just gorgeous!

Never judge an image from a digital representation. These are beyond better inside the magazines. I was rather amazed at how attractive they are, actually. I thought it was another one of these try-too-hard campaigns. They're stark and eye-catching, which results in sales, and that being the main agenda.

I am loving these. The clothes looks so desirable, I want it all!
Sam Rollinson is the star here, IMO..she looks incredible.

Even though I didn't like it at first sight, it grew on me immensely.

The clothes look just so good in this, and so do the girls, especially Sam and Kirstin. Their shots in the ruffled pieces are simply marvellous.

Such a beautiful final touch for Nicolas's swansong.
