Feels very Passé...

I´m having a more detailed look to this collection...and frankly I hope the spirit of Cristóbal Balenciaga haunts Demna for the rest of his mediocre life.

I'm always perversely fascinated by Demna's story-telling around his work. As a scriptwriter, he'd be fabulous, as a designer he's beyond comment.
Pple keep calling his work ugly-chic, almost giving him the same aesthetic credentials as Miuccia Prada.
I personally think that in order to subvert the rules you have to know them first - an upper-class Milanese like Mrs Prada can do that...whereas the hard truth is that Demna has never even remotely shown any sign of that now unfashionable thing called Taste. And he certainly never got any help from his partner in crime, Lady Volkova.
If at the beginning his brutalist, east-european touch could feel fresh or somehow new, now it feels heavy and shows how limited as a designer he is.

for a balenciaga pre-collection it's perfectly fine, there's quite a few nice pieces in here but not worth the pricetag

Kering could very well close all Balenciaga shops around the world, and replace them with vending machines; because this is just another merchandising collection from Demna (I refuse to call this a fashion collection).

The collection is OK... Nothing earth shattering, but still I might buy quite a few of the pieces.
Think the sis a pre-collection anyway, so guess those are always more "commercial'...?

I feel like I have seen that again, I love the fun thing to wear "normal clothes" but in a Balenciaga way but its seem done make and done again, like eating the same soup, I don't have the owwww effect. Maybe its just because there is no runaway.
