I’m not expecting much more from Balenciaga and it shows consistency compared to the previous campaign.
Yes-- no/low budget, selfies, even an afterthought. And still leagues more creative, expensive-looking and high fashion worldbuilding than whatever American/British/French/Italian Vogues have been churning out.
It's all just so underwhelming and feels like a total non-event. The hype surrounding this brand is truly starting to die down and it's starting to show. Never been all too impressed with Balenciaga campaigns under Demna Gvasalia's direction and this is no exception.
This boredom of pictures always happens when they hire an “art” photographer, so everyone thinks it’s artsy just. Ecause its done by an “artist”. But in reality it looks like a dull lookbook for Uniqlo at best.
