Ballet flats

I love flats too much! Here's a pic of my collection. I told myself I wasn't going to get anymore but then I end up seeing some amazing ones online recently. I was thinking I could go for either one of the blue pairs or one of the gold metallics but I can't do both.

Where are those pics from? I like the blue ones...:flower:

I got a pair of the brown satin ballerinas from GAP and my take on them: they're alright. They look cute, but the soles are thin, no arch support at all, and the front (that curled up) was so rigid at first, I had to bend them the other way to soften them up. They were really uncomfortable otherwise. I think they should have forgone the elastic in the back, because it chafes at first. BUT, good news, they get better with wear. I just have to get something to make 'em more cushy...

I love your collection! I'm not big fan of all flat shoes, but yours are lovely!
BTW. how thes CL T-bar heels fit? are they true to the size?

I'd go with the blue pair!

I think flat ballet shoe style are great for women who can't wear high heels all day long in office or if they are pregnant or for any reason they need flat shoes they are just perfect for these situations.

^ Or for young girls who are still growing as high heels are bad for the feet and back.....

^ Or for me, fully grown but not willing to subject my feet and back to the pain and possible injury involved in wearing heels every day. Not to mention restricted mobility...don't get me wrong, I love beautiful heels, especially 4" stilettos, but I could run circles around heel wearers with my flats and it wouldn't be very practical to walk and take the subway all the time in most heels, especially if you can't get a seat. Wearing heels should be a choice, not an expectation. If I have an occasion where I want to look extra sexy and can either get a ride or spring for a cab I'll break out the stilettos. Also, I kinda like the mechanics of how my feet work when I use them as they were intended...I just like being kind to my body. :)

Hi euro! The first blue ones are from eluxury.com, the rest of the flats are from saks.com.

apple, missbliss and aris: I am leaning more towards the diors. Especially now that you confirm they're comfy. It seems like the leather on them would be soft and flexible.

Oh and the black with the silver trim are manolos. Got them at neimans. Great flat and also very comfy.

And the Tbar louboutins fit true to size. I am a size 10 US and they are 41. Normally a 41 louboutin can be too small for me but the tbars are the most comfortable louboutins I own. There's no pinching in the front either.

kiss&tell thanks! I cant wait for them to arrive :D

eurofashionjunki the 3 of them are so cute!!

MCROSS thank you!
what size are you in Gucci and Dolce cabanna?

I'll be ordering from pretty ballerinas in January. I will post how it went and any thing to look out for, plus I will tell you the quality of their ballet flats and how comfortable they are. I cannot wait, I have found my new style as I've always loved ballet since I was a little girl wearing a tutu. I'm working all Xmas holidays and it will be worth it......

Thanks for this! I'd really appreciate the feedback. I've been admiring the Pretty Ballerinas for a while but I never ordered because I'm worried about ordering something online that I haven't tried on first...

Hi aris! Guccis are in US sizes so I can wear a 10 in them but I'm not a huge fan of gucci shoes. Some styles are so cheaply made, mainly their sandals. Their boots and pumps seem fine but I would choose almost any other designer over Gucci. I love Dolce though! I take a size 41 in the Dolces and every style is exquisite.

Hi mcross :) i love your flats collection (& your CL). i somehow like the valentino. i think it would look very nice with a short black dress.

Thank You mcross! I was just asking to see if we are the same size, in Gucci I need 40, and in D&G I need 40.5, I'm trying to figure out what size I need to order the T strap CL.
Thank you.

FYI, luisa via roma has spring Lanvin flats available for pre-order in bronze, silver, and perforated leather. I ordered the bronze.

I am becoming addicted to flats

they're so comfortable and cute ^_^

I buy most of mine at Zara, cause they're usually not made of leather and reeeally adorable!!

Yes! I have two from Zara: a pearl cream pair and a Dorothy like pair  It's cute!
