Ballet flats

^I like them. Even though I'm getting a little tired of gold flats, they're still nice. If they suit you, keep them.

So I was browsing around the mall the other day, trying on shoes. I seem to have this issue with ballet flats: in my proper size, they feel way too tight, like that's the only way they'll stay on my feet, and my feet feel too claustrophobic to wear the shoes. If I go up even a half a size, the shoes fall off. Grr! Am I the only one having this problem?

^_^ me too!! i'm so obsessed with ballet flats that i'll just buy them anyways and enjoy how cute they look even whilst my toes bleed inside! all in the name of fashion

is there a website online that sells Lanvin flats that ships internationally ?

I've had problems finding flats that fit too. The last pair I bought was a little too tight, but I kept them anyway. Now they've stretched to be pretty comfortable.

No, you guys aren't the only one with this problem. I've noticed it too. I just always thought my toes are too long. :D

^That problem is pretty easy to fix with a small insole. Not always the most attractive but I tend to go up vs. going down.

I am glad this flats trend is staying around. I had surgery on both feet and can not physically wear anything but flats or a wedge under 1.5 inches.

cupkate - what kind of surgery - if you do not mind me asking?

ballet flats have to be a bit tight when you buy them, because they stretch and adjust to your feet

^^ True. But my feet feel so big and flat  when I wear flats, although I do like them.

kiss - I have the same feeling with all flats - only Lanvin is different - you should try them - they have someting under the heel that makes them better.

Don't mind at all. I had bunion surgery on both feet. Basically my big toes were behind my second toe and they had to slice my feet open, break the bone, pen it straight and sew me up. Not terribly fun but because I was only 22 at the time there is a pretty large chance of them coming back so I was told very sternly not to wear heels over 1.5 inches.

I asked because I also have on my left foot a bunion - it's not very big but it's there and I hate it! So would you recomend it? how long ago did you have it done? Can you run now?

^I have little bunions on both sides of both my feet.... by the big and little toe. They don't hurt though. I thought most people who wear stilletos, etc., have them. Like 50% of women?

Don't they have to be really bad (painful and your toes crossed) before they do surgery?

cupkate your surgery sounds very painful :( Luckily flats are super-cute so you have lots of choices. And if you really have to wear a heel for some special reason you could do a cute little kitten heel... or right now a small wedge... :)

a live in flats. i never wear heels i don't feel very comfy in heels. so yay for flats. :)

You'd just have to see a podiatrist so they could tell you whether you need it or not. There is a certain degree of the angle before they do it. And I did suffer from pain. I know for lesser degrees there is a lazer surgery.

I was completely off my feet for 2 weeks, in a wedge shoe for 2 and in a boot for another 2 to 4 (my left foot was worse so I was in the boot longer).

But it was the right choice for me.
Good luck to you.
