They look like orthopedic flats made for old people. Remind me of my grandma's flats, before flats became fashionable again for trendy people. Without the pattern, and if those Chanel flats were white with the patent leather parts in black, they'd be the spitting image of my grandma's shoes.

Hi Everybody,

I have recently become obsessed with leapard prints shoes and I saw one beautiful flat in Marie Claire Aug'06, page 145 modeled by this actress in 'Sin City' ( I am not sure what her name is) .It says by Donna Karan collection and retails $475.
Unfortunately when I called the boutique the SA said that they decided to go with tiger print instead and this leapord print is no longer available. Can anyone suggest anything else similar within the same price range?

I don't have a scanner so I can't post the pics, and the photos of the model wearing that shoes is not available on the website. So sorry about that. If anyone have a picture, that would be great.

as far as i know they are sold out for s/s 06 (except on ebay) i lucked out and just purchased the violet and green satin pairs last week. love them! i have a little bit of a lanvin addiction

check to see if they have in your size....

otherwise f/w 06 should be out soon. i know of a lot of places that sell lanvin. i bought my pairs....

When I phoned the Lanvin boutique in Paris today, I asked if they'd be getting any patent flats in black and she said probably not but maybe another dark colour like plum. Where am I going to get the patent pair???

vickycookie - it seems that different stores carry different styles (satin, patent, leather) and different colors. satine in la had a green lizard pair that were tdf....but really pricey. even in lanvin in paris doesn't carry them, maybe another store ordered black patent. i am going to look through my emails now, but i think at least one store will have black patent for f/w.

pinkcheeks - the turq pair i purchased at mona moore for retail, the yellow pair i paid i bit more than retail (ebay), and the red satin i bought on sale for $200 something!

Zappos.com has some new Ralph Lauren ones called the Loura for $129. They're made of ponyhair and have no bow. I'm thinking of getting the plain black leather version. I'm a black flat fanatic.
