Was just at Barney's in NYC. They have some of the patent ones left if interested. I scooped up some extras in Brown and REd (the red is awesome, kinda pinky red, but not really). They are very very comfortable, I find them more so than the satin ones.

so i was looking for a new pair of plain black platform heels and decided to give nordstrom.com, which i never visit, a try...

what do i see but a flat that looks exactly like the lanvin flat. i mean i searched high and low for flats similar to the lanvins before as they are impossible to get in black...to no avail. but here are some for $64.95!!!

i really want a pair in regular leather...in a good color..simply because i would live in them and i wouldn't want to mess up a patent leather or satin pair in bad weather..

i love the color of the red patent leather ones though..gorgeous! i'm so jealous of you right now!

they were getting a shipment of Matte black leather in sometime this week.. Call and preorder.

I just ordered a black pair of these from french sole, it's a new style called Harriet. Can't wait until they get here.

Yea, they arrived, only to a week from the UK, as a plus no import duties again.

I love these shoes!, the vamps are really short, way shorter than their regular low cut style, it feels (and looks) like they are bearly there, freedom for my short tootsies at last.

As a plus they have changed the composition of the sole, it's now more sturdy but softer than before, no more scratchy-scratchy sounds when you walk. The leather is super soft, no break-in needed, interestingly this style is made in Spain rather than France.

As expected the sizing is very conservative, even with the online size guide you'd probably do well to go up a half or full size unless you have freakishly narrow feet, maybe they are using the French system rather than the EU system ?.

On the down side there is (or was) sticky labels covering the usual french sole logo, if you remove this it tends to pull some of the underlying logo, this is a shame since the insoles are a nice bright gold color. Don't know why it was there in the first place, it proclaimed 'Pirouette', but these are not the Pirouette style rather Harriete.

I hope that they offer this style in the US, I prefer the straight lasted shoes rather than the regular left/right, they just end up fitting so much better.

Must dash, need to team these up with some sasssy fishnets, mini, husband, and a night on the town.

I have ALSO been wondering where to buy Repetto shoes online!! I fell in love with a few pairs of Repetto flats featured in the September 2004 Teen Vogue (I tore out the pics and put them in a collage to remind myself to look for the shoes). Ever since I saw those shoes, I've been longing for them, and Googling and Googling ...for a respectable online store (I don't want to submit my credit card info at any old place, if you know what I mean).

Have others here noticed that the leather in French Soles gets bad quite quickly...I bought a black pair this summer, and after a month they were already a little tarnished...now they are unwearable.

I was there in late September, and I got a pair of red leather flats. They also had brown. Now I wish I had gotten those too. I don't remember how much they were.
