I now have a question...I owned quite a few pairs of ballet flats, and my mother kept warning me about how they would lower your arch...is there a way to prevent that? Can I put something inside the flats?

I like these patent leather d'orsay flats. The gap stores don't have them, though. Only online.

I'm not sure if I should get them or not. It gets so rainy and wet where I live, I don't know if they'd make sturdy winter shoes.

Mona Moore appears to have red patent Lanvin flats in size 37 right now, for those who would be interested.

I've been told they run a bit bigger than the spring/summer ones, I would size down half a size from the s/s (which makes me 36.5...no good).

Fred Segal/Madison Style in Santa Monica got a bunch of Lanvin colors and are anticipating more in November. I recieved the Patent "Navy's", but they're sooo incredibly dark they look black..even in the sunlight I see no hint of blue, so those are going back. But, they're taking pre-orders on the navys in matte leather and she said those were lighter, more a true navy. I'd call them since there were colors I didn't even know existed like purple, yellow and a patent grey also. The prices range from around 465-525. I could be wrong, but I think barneys are a few dollars cheaper..but the box isn't as nice. HAHA.
