oh,and i tried the arch support on...they feel like yuck!!!
I lost the feel of the shoes wearing those!!!:ninja:
so i had this crazy idea of chopping them off like this..(the pic below)
so the gel would fill only my arches in the shoes...which i found more comfortable!!!:D
Oh...the hassle you go through too look good and feel comfy at the same time:innocent:
meanwhile,I finally got my Green satin Lanvins,i went half a size with these

^So cute!

About Lanvin flats...they are by far the best flats in the world, they are so comfortable you do not even need to break them in (I am talking about the leather flats, I do not own the others) but after maybe 3 or 4 hours in them my feet start to hurt...so if you are walking around all day and expect these to have no pain then you are wrong  I think it is because they do not provide enough support for long walks...my feet just feel a little sore.

kare - i don't find the elastic to slip at all. i think it is important to make sure you have a good fit - better to go smaller than too big.

Ahhh, that explains it! Mine was a half size too big. Oh is there anything I can do to prevent the slipping, you think?

does anyone have the steve madden patent elastic lanvin knockoffs? are they comfortable?

gEEZ....I want those!! the phyton ballets...any pic???

I was about to answer this a couple days ago or so & got distracted :innocent:

I tried them on at Barney's & I thought they had a pic on their website, but when I went to look for it it was gone--maybe they sold out? You should call around & see if you can still find them ... I thought they were quite nice. ~$900 as I recall.

More recently I tried on the black patent Mary Janes like you have. I liked them, but they didn't knock my socks off. They're pretty tight and they wrinkled the skin on top of my foot which I felt was not a terribly good look :ninja::innocent::lol:

jeez, these marni's are 475-- i just bought the steve madden one for 27 bucks!

emma,
pls post pics when you get them :)

regarding the LANVIN elastic flats
i would also like to add that i have now gone down 1/2 size to prevent the elastic rubbing the back of my foot and eventually coming off. these are snug but at least dont rub and yet still comfy

Those are my.. but like on this page.. are those not really really bad for your feet?

LOL
yes....the leather on the shoes have wrinkles on top which I guess if you have more meaty foot(I'm not saying your feet are chubby, maybe yours is normal compared to mine:blush:),they will wrinkle the skin on top of your foot too...I have real skinny and narrow feet, they're like...meatless,LOL.the shoes are fine for me.:p

Regarding the Phyton Lanvin...I just remembered,I did saw them last season on the net!! either it was Barneys or NM......
I will check on them....Thanks for The info!!:flower:

^ I think "meaty" would prevent the problem, actually :D My feet are a regular width, but apparently I have this kind of extra skin on top that I really had never been made fully aware of till I tried on these shoes :ninja: :innocent:

I'm sure i sounded like an airhead by saying"meaty foot":lol::lol:

Does anyone own a pair of these? I have Chanel shoes in sizes US 6, US 6.5 and US 7, and I'm thinking that since these have the elastic around the top they'd probably fit no matter what size I choose. I normally wear a size US 6, but in flats I can wear a size 7 as well. I have the Cambon flats in 6 and 7 and they both fit. These are a size 7 (37), so I'm thinking they would probably be ok?

vista i have that style and they are true to size with me.
i must say though that i hardly wore them due to the elastic in the bac being too low on the foot. but it is super soft :)

^ Ah, thanks for replying. Do you mean that they come off your foot when you walk since they're so low in the back? That's annoying! I can understand that they're supersoft though because they really look like it. :)

vista,

they do hold but not very well. and also the loop has given me blisters every single time during fashion week.
ive given up on them and only wear them when there is not much walking involved.
