Balmain F/W 11.12 : Anja Rubik & Patrick Kafka by Inez & Vinoodh

I suppose it was not Melanie Ward nor Emanuelle Alt, so does anyone know who styled this?

Gosh, it looks so cheap, as editorial from Mixt(e) magazine circa 2004-2005 it`s not surprise what due to such quality of publication magazine was closed...

Anja looks like a dude.

The guy looks like Vincent Lacrocq?

That has nothing commont with previous campaigns. I guess since they changed head designer they changed everything else. I like it and i'm so happy for Anja, but I was hoping to see sth more spectacular.

^same for me.even though the all-in-one chosen for the second shot is just hilarious

Anja's face looks totally robotic.
I actually think it looks pretty good and the only cheap thing I can see about it is the clothing. So overall, I quite like the campaign.

It looks like something for Chloé.

The clothes don't have any real context in the setting, the attitude of the clothes are left quite underwhelming, a night time setting would of worked better.

I can feel the new transition between Christophe and Olivier, it has the same feeling of the lookbooks Olivier has been in control of so far.

Also can we assume this is by I&V ?

I hate that collection,I love Anja and I am happy she got that campaign. I Think she can pull off that horrible and tacky collection.

I really didn't like the collection, but I like the fact that they tried to present it in a frsher way instead of going for the Nighlife/clubbing routine.
It's a bit too summery for a Fall campaign though, but I don't really mind.
I love the cast, I'm really pleasantly surprised to see Vincent. However, I feel like he doesn't have a lot of chemistry with Anja. Also, the composition in the second shot is a bit awkward. I wouldn't have picked that jumpsuit but rather one of those mini skirts or dresses. The jumpsuit feels really out of place.

It`s a drastic and noticeable change from the previous seasons. You can see the change from eclectic, tough, punk style to this laid back, simple & subtle styling. I love the fact that it`s Anja in this campaign not Daria but it falls like an editorial from UK Vogue that feature Balmain. It`s not that stellar but still looks nice overall

I'm still waiting for a campaign/editorial of Anja with her mouth closed....
