Balmain F/W 16.17 by Steven Klein

There are more models in the campaign like Jon Kortajarena. The site is in Chinese so no idea how to find the rest... apparantly more photo's are in US Vogue August edition?

I quite like this, but why Kanye?

The cast couldn't be more awful and the result shows it. Hideous.

so out of focus.... whatever I really don´t care about Balmain at this point

A week later and this image still impress me. The dark platform looks amazing. Of course the cast could be different, but Kanye is actually ok here. Joan reminds me of the cowgirl in Toy Story 2, well, the silhouette. They better release the rest of the shots, but my guess is that it'll Olivier's usual army of brash in-your-face sexpots (Jourdan, Rosie, Lima, Candice etc etc). Wouldn't mind it if the shots continues to be this good.

This is beautiful and I love the composition and lighting. I'm always amazed at how much better the clothes can look in the campaigns, really looking forward to seeing the rest!

I like the concept and the lighting...but Joan was/is/will (always) be such a stiff model it makes me wonder why Olivier didn't cast someone more graceful for this dynamic campaign.

What is going on in here? Is Joan pushing him or salvaging Kanye who is striking a pose whilst free falling? Also I haven't been following fashion for a while, but I can't believe Balmain has become this bad. Those jeans on Kanye are hideous :censored:

Bingo! Couldn't get to it earlier, she looks very stiff in this image (probably it was the best of a set?).

nice concept but isnt that what Kanye was wearing at the MET? I wish it was just models

and the concept everybody is loving is.... instability? :ermm:

Alessandra, Sasha Luss, Dilone, Josephine Skriver and Jourdan Dunn, Ronald Epps are also in it.
