Lady Gaga "Fame" Fragrance : Lady Gaga by Steven Klein

The most hilarious part of this is the line of text "the first ever black eau de parfum". Wow, I'm just so impressed. Come on gaga, at least give us something along the lines of "provocative, daring, avant garde".

For all her born this way and love yourself talk, she does love ye olde photoshop beauty treatment, because that is at most an approximation of her body, and certainly not her breasts. Let me be clear, I'm not criticizing her body, just the hypocrisy of her whole mantra versus her actions. I just don't see the necessity of the nudity in the whole equation.

But, honestly, did we expect anything else from Lady Gaga? A person who craves fame and names their perfume after it. (And please, some Gaga addict, don't attempt some Gaga V magazine column-style theorizing about how it is just so clever and meta, and she doesn't really crave attention at all and how it is really a searing and intelligent critique of our times).

P.S. Did anyone else think Nine Inch Nail's Closer music video rip off immediately?

If this image had appeared in Italian Vogue, shot by Klein, everyone would have been all over it like a rash.
Naahh I doubt it.

Well, I am.. whelmed.

Witchcrafted by LADY GAGA

-Tears of poor children
-Crushed heart of pop music
-With a Black veil of an attention wh*re
-And the combinative stench of urine and poo drops

Seriously this is such an ugly perfume!

Damn, it seems like everyone on here is so judgmental. This photo is great, Steven Klein did a great job on this. And I can assure you that if this were for a Vogue Italia ed with an actual model you'd be all over it just like those guys are on her. Most of you probably hate it because it's Lady Gaga, and you're all saying that she's full of herself and she's phony and shallow and blah blah blah but there's a difference between criticism and just being rude and I can see 90% of you are just the latter.

I think the work of the photographer is excellent, this looks perfect for lady gaga, her fans must be glad.

aside from the attachment of the name that seems to be stirring up a rumble, it's a fairly decent, somewhat kitschy ad that would be ideal billboard-controversy material. of course she's going to use controversy as the driving force behind her image, this is the 2012, so i don't understand the surprising "she's a fame wh*re" reaction. durh.

well if she thought this will be coming out as an unexpected and scandalous, she's wrong. I expected something tacky like this from her and also everyone has seen her naked, so there's nothing to be scandallous here. So plain tacky and boring IMO.

Even though I am not a fan of Gaga in any way, I will admit that she has taken good fashion pictures before; this is NOT one of those. This looks cheap and tacky, and honestly, it looks like something fan-made I'd see on deviantART.

Awful photo and the packaging is terrible. I'm not even remotely a Gaga fan but I was at expecting better from Steven Klein.

Even if this shot had appeared in Italian Vogue, it would still be quite tired.

And this comment kind of misses the point - this is supposed to be a perfume ad. I am a total perfume head, and this really gives be no desire at all to give this a sniff.

It does fit into the larger catalog of her work, though. It seems she is quite fond of taking something that was seen as edgy or controversial years ago, and re-introducing it and presenting it as still controversial or whatever. I don't know why I even hope that she does something fresh anymore.

It's really disappointing. But also the kind of "thing" one would expect Gaga to do. I think she's the "poor man's edgy" artist. For those who don't care about real edgy music, about really edgy artists and just want to keep their interest skin - deep. That's Gaga's territory. Skin - depth is where she fabricated her Fame. And where's she'll always be for me.

Some will argue saying that her music is really catchy, that one can immediately feel her songs pouring in one's ears. Yep, kinda like mosquitoes: you hear their buzz, but that doesn't make it music.

This is a women is substance...I couldn't be more proud of her doing this ad. Can't wait to have a whiff of the scent. I bet is smells divine
