when tf would you wear this?
There was an opening section with a handful of older models, which I thought was fabulous during the livestream but Vogue have no uploaded these looks (yet).
"Attack of the Monster Shoulder Pads: The Revenge"
Now with 75% more of stuffing on each shoulder!!
Why the models aren´t wearing a face mask??? Olivier could make masks using shoulder pads!!
You could use those pointy shoulders to open beer bottles or to unscrew furniture. They are ridiculous and not in a good way.
All of the colors that aren't navy are...a choice. Wearing neon green is always a sign of something not right with the psyche.
And there was I was last season thinking he finally was growing on me...
The way they really put a butt plug cutout down the runway im ded
I kinda like it!
I think the opening section with veterans 80’s models was cute but more than that, I like a more sober (commercial) Balmain.
My favorite look of the show (and one of my favorite of the season) is the all grey look with the grey short, grey open pointy blazer and a grey top! It’s very simple but so fresh! I love that look so much that I can consider buying it...
I can definitely use those pointy shoulders as a great social-distancing tool!
It’s a much more approachable Balmain, I can see Emmanuelle having an orgasm just by thinking about it!
There are some obvious references to Decarnin in this collection. Maybe the styling is what kills it a little bit. The neon and Denim have no place in it! And tbh neon has no place in fashion for 2020 or 2021...
It’s a fairly good collection tho.
^Agree with you! I just hate this very pointy shoulders and he really needs a stylist with him. He does not have enough distance with his work to see what can be wrong on some of those looks.
It's a bit all over the place. I see Balenciaga at the beginning (a big no to the return of neon btw), then the jeans part reminds me a lot of Celine. The last evening dresses are just lame and ill-fitted. None of this looks appealing to me. I love Olivier as a person, I only wish I could say the same about his collections.
“Quantity over quality” is the name of the game in his book. Total size-queen, no?
i dont like the neon stuff, but I like the decarnin stuff. And I dont like the shoulders this exaggerated. decarnins shoulders were exaggerated too,but more cooler and tastefully not so weridly overly pointy. no one looks good in it. especially not curvy shorties like kim k. even the tall models dont look fully good in it.
I see he's still committed to his quest of creating the most unflattering, nonsensical silhouettes around.
remove ALL of the denim, soften the shoulder pads and it would’ve been a very good collection.
the last dresses (apart from the first one), are SO basic!
The return of the pointy shoulders! Unfortunately they dated the collection I loved the flared oants though especially the guy that wore it with an easy fitting stripped shirt. Gave it an effortless vibe. The evening wear on the other hand shouldnt have been here, the girl that wears it is obviously going to the same place as the Philip Plein girl.
Thise pants are going to be a hit next season
I... kinda like pretty much almost everything in this collection and how ‘wearable’ it is to me
Guess I am the odd one out here who finds the pointed shoulders pretty oddly cute...
The flares were so much cooler when Decarnin did them. le sigh...
Eewww. Biker shorts and giant power shoulders must be the worst silhouette ever.
This is for people who think shoulder pads are "edgy" lol
