Bar Refaeli making her Canadian debut with Garnier Fructis Style
MONTREAL, May 26 /CNW Telbec/ - Garnier Canada is thrilled to announce
that striking supermodel Bar Refaeli has recently signed on as Garnier
International's newest spokesperson. She will be making her Canadian debut in
the Garnier Fructis Style television campaign airing this fall.
The international supermodel joins Garnier's prestigious roster of A-list
celebrities, including Canada's own Chantal Kreviazuk and Chantal Lacroix,
Sarah Jessica Parker in the United States, Sabrina Ferelli in Italy, Nathalie
Baye in France and Davina McCall in the UK.
Hélène Azancot, Garnier International's General Manager, notes: "Bar
Refaeli incarnates Garnier's vision of healthy beauty. Her hair, as well as
her body, reflect wellness and health. She is perfectly in line with Garnier's

Bar Refaeli was born in a rural region of Israel. She was raised on a
horse ranch where she has been riding ever since she was a little girl. She
started modelling before she could even walk! In fact, by the time she was 8
months old, Bar Refaeli was already starring in commercials. However, her real
modelling career started at the age of 11 when she appeared in several famous
Israeli magazines.
Bar Refaeli won the title of Model of the Year in a renowned beauty
contest in both 2000 and 2001. Since then, she has been featured on several
magazine covers and has secured gigs with international brands like GQ and
Ralph Lauren.
She is incontrovertibly one of the freshest faces in the fashion and
beauty industry today. Having reached international acclaim, Bar Refaeli was
selected for an international fashion shoot in ELLE France magazine. "The

Accusata dai compatrioti di aver evitato il servizio militare più per viltà che per convinzioni pacifiste, Bar Refaeli risponde di essere sempre stata solidale con chi combatte per la patria.
Di cosa parla una ragazza quando è in spiaggia a Tel Aviv con le amiche? Di armi?
Vede, il motivo per il quale io amo così tanto Israele non ha a che fare solo con il clima o con il cibo. È la qualità delle persone. Gli israeliani sono pieni di gioia di vivere come nessun altro, e contemporaneamente possono essere molto seri. I ragazzi fanno festa ogni notte fino all'alba, sebbene la maggior parte di loro sia molto istruita e la mattina debba alzarsi presto per andare a lavorare o per studiare. L'energia di Tel Aviv è straordinaria.
Questa gioia di vivere è una reazione alle esperienze dure che tutti vivono durante il servizio militare, o addirittura al fronte?
A causa delle circostanze esterne, è necessario recitare una parte. E anche avere rapporti più stretti con le proprie famiglie.
Soprattutto i giovani, nel suo Paese, devono affrontare prove molto dure...
Molte cose che accadono ai ragazzi di 18 o 19 anni durante il servizio militare sono spaventose. E naturalmente sarebbe meglio se nessuno dovesse andare al fronte o se non ci fosse alcun fronte. Ma dall'altro lato gli israeliani imparano molte cose che rimangono sconosciute alla maggior parte dei giovani occidentali.
Per esempio?
La disciplina. Impariamo a sottometterci e a servire. Successivamente, se raggiungiamo dei gradi di servizio superiori, dobbiamo guidare gli altri e assumerci delle responsabilità. Quando ci proponiamo per un lavoro all'estero, le persone fanno fatica a credere che siamo già così maturi per la nostra età.
Lei pensa che la disciplina sia sexy?
Non come caratteristica in sé. Ma se un ragazzo sa quello che vuole e come raggiungere il suo obiettivo, allora mi piace, naturalmente.
