I really believe that amongst the newer girls that have emerged recently, Barbara has the potential to be absolutely huge. Looking forward to seeing what's in store for her.

I think it's better to slowly but surely grow as a rising star than be a superhype for a short while. Look what happend to Tanya D for example, she got huge when she was 15/16 and as a 19 year old, she is out.
Can't wait for next season! Im so curious to see what shows she will get. She did nine A-ranked shows this season and I guess it will be a lot more next time.

Meet the New Girl: Barbara Palvin​

Budapest-native Barbara Palvin was discovered at just 13 years old. While most girls her age were busy trying on mom's lipstick, this youngin' was quietly modeling overseas in Asia. Now 17, Barbara finds herself in the midst of a major breakout. Although she's short (well, for modeling) at just below five foot nine, she snagged a coveted Prada-exclusive at the fall 2010 show. Following this, Barbara, whom we like to think of as a baby Natalia Vodianova, booked the Giles, Miu Miu, and Louis Vuitton shows in Paris. And she’s been working nonstop since. The newcomer has already shot countless editorials for several international versions of Vogue and even modeled for Victoria’s Secret’s PINK line. But you’ll see it all soon enough.

When I stood next to her a year ago, she was a little shorter than me and I'm 5'8..so she's still growing? I hope so...I think Barbara is more of a Victoria Secret type of model.

AS WE have said before (see Lisanne de Jong for evidence), any girl chosen by Miuccia Prada to walk exclusively for the label is one to watch - and the Vogue team are in agreement that this season's Prada exclusive, Barbara Palvin, is definitely something special.

"We chose Barbara because she is absolutely exquisite looking a cross between a young Brooke Shields and Natalia Vodianova," Vogue's Miranda Almond told us. "She was an absolute professional too, and very confident for such a new model. Straight after our shoot she was due to go and meet Steven Meisel who I am sure will have snapped her up and will project her into supermodel status. We shot her for a surfer girl style story for the June issue."

Still only 17, Palvin hails from Budapest and was discovered at just 13-years-old despite being smaller than the average catwalk model at just 5' 9". After her exclusive turn for Prada in Milan the teenager headed to Paris where she took to the catwalk for Miu Miu, Giles and Nina Ricci before lining up alongside supermodels including Elle Macpherson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Louis Vuitton.
